So, in Ubuntu 26.04, the default "stable" Krita install is the highly experimental 6.0.1, in which font support is just super broken.

I can swap to the flatpak, which has 6.0.3, which fixes font support but the flatpak doesn't connect to Wayland the way that I need for my drawing tablet to work properly.

I hate Linux and Linux art tools

At some point I might just have to throw in the towel and run CreativeSuite from my Macbook if I want to screw around with art without getting extremely frustrated
